Driver and mechanic pay by state

What this shows: Average annual pay by state for heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers, light truck and delivery drivers, and diesel (bus and truck) mechanics, from the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics survey. BLS surveys pay as of May each year and publishes it the following spring, so this is a once-a-year snapshot (May 2025), not a monthly trend. The small figure next to each amount is the difference from the U.S. average.
